An intensive hands on course covering the basics of emergency medical response. Learn the skills and knowledge to have the confidence to act when an emergency happens. Topics include:

  • Scene safety
  • Bleeding control
  • Airway and breathing management
  • CPR overview
  • Shock assessment and management
  • Gear selection
  • Interfacing with EMS
  • Dispelling medical myths

Cost of course includes:

  • At the completion class each student will receive a certificate of completion, a Bleeding Control (BCON) certification from the National Association of EMTs
  • basic trauma kit for each student

Course Instructor:
Kevin Hunt is a nationally registered paramedic currently serving as a firefighter/ paramedic with the city of Franklin, TN. He started his career as a US Army medic and has significant experience working in urban EMS systems in Tennessee and Indiana as well as teaching prehospital emergency medicine, wilderness medicine, and technical rescue.
